BIBLE VERSE: Proverbs 24:16 For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity. What is mistake? Mistake is an error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc. You either learn from your past mistakes or your mentors. Theres always a lesson to learn from every mistake in life. In one way or the other, you must have made mistakes. The question is, what have you learnt from that mistake? Lets say mistake can also be taken as failure. Most people see mistake as a sin. Once they make mistake, they allow guilty mentality to blend their eyes from learning from it. To fall in life is never a sin, but it becomes a sin when you rise without picking something. What are you meant to pick when rising up after a fall? You pick your lessons. You ask yourself questions like, what really caused this fall, how did I contribute to it, what would I have done, and what will I do next time to avoid such mistake? You have to understand that failure means that your determination to succeed was not strong enough. That means you need to add more effort to whatever you did before that appeared as failure. You dont need to be scared of making mistake, rather be ready to learn from it. You cant take bold steps in life when you are scared of mistakes. How do you know if youve actually learnt something from your past mistakes? You know, when you dont repeat such mistake again. What was the last mistake you made and the last failure you experienced? Learn from it. PRAYER: Lord, help me to learn from my past mistake, I receive grace not to allow the fear of failure to stop me from taking bold steps.
