you DO get privileges for being white that you may not be aware of . . . it is not an attack on you but the system. Thats how it was designed by the forefathers. whether it is, country club membership, a low rate on loans in your gated community/neighborhood (many areas are still steered to this day) or your freedom to shop in stores without surveillance (being followed), or getting lost driving in an affluent area without incident. Acknowledging it doesnt mean you support it, but it could be your first step towards empathy with other human beings different from yourself.
