you are not alone. Ekurhuleni technicians are working around the clock to locate and repair various cable faults that have left parts of Germiston without power supply. Elsburg, Delville, Parkhill Gardens, Tedstoneville, Germiston South, parts of Primrose, Albemarle, Castleview area have been off since yesterday (05 September 2013) evening due to faulty cables. Furthermore, in a separate but related incident the team will this morning replace a transformer at Solheim area. This is after a cable fault affecting Sun and Polaris Street led to the transformer failing yesterday evening. “Our technicians are still trying to locate exactly where the cable faults are so that repair work can resume as soon as possible,” explains Sam Modiba, municipal spokesperson. The Ekurhuleni Metro apologises for the inconvenience caused and assures affected consumers that work will continue until services are restored.
