youtu.be/gzuReK726OY Events of the Morning Thirteen years ago I woke up with my infant son and turned on the tv. I saw what everyone else was seeing. Then I went to work and faced an almost empty casino floor. Management had posted signs saying that the ballrooms had been fitted with screens in case anyone wanted to watch news reports on the events of the morning. On my lunch break, I wrote what would become the basis for this piece. A few weeks later, as I walked in to work, there were people, friends, walking out who shouldnt have been leaving. Fallout. I had work friends. Thats the only place Id see them, and now I wouldnt see them again. This is in remembrance of those who were lost in the attacks, and those who went and fought in response.
