Running flu and high fever after 3,4 hrs of sleep for weeks. Despite feeling so dead now and having to churn out overdue assignments, study for make-up test cos I missed it on MC due to SUAD, I insist on posting the videos so that at least I could earn back a little more credits and recognition, at least my awesome cinematographer Justin Đoàn and greatest source of support for this project and surprisingly talented editor Jacky Hsu get recognized too. Anw heres one of my favorite SUAD videos, featuring Jessen Siew as a choreographer getting inspiration from his dreams to choreograph a dance of four elements-water fire earth and wind. In real life however, inspiration doesnt come so easily while you knock out. It comes with habitual observation, accumulation of experience and devoted thinking process at the cost of sacrificing your health, your relationships with other people, your other priorities etc. And the execution of inspiration is even tougher- Justin and myself digging out mud and plants from the bush enduring mosquitos trying to stay still, Jacky manually blowing windmill many many times, me carrying fragile props like hour glass and beaker tgt w heavy equipments all over school...Though the end product is not as nice as I expected, weve tried our best within such short time. This is made as a transition and introduction to MJs guest item. I am really sorry to the choreographers that in the end Blast! side agreed on not using backdrops for most of the items, so I couldnt present the elements during your item. Hope this intro video aids in audiences understanding of the intention of your choreography. Sadly I dont know the MJ choreographers so could my dancer friends help to extend my message? thx:)
