It works on dialogue between different musical identities to compare and enhance its musical identity. Maclé explores the meaning of the combination of music/identity founded on the relationship with other people. It interprets identity as change and evolution. Based on these assumptions, the Maclé Duo presents the Project Maclé +: with unpublished pieces composed for the duo, in which an always different element is added to the traditional piano 4 hands. A challenge for composers to seek the new, the unusual. And a challenge for interpreters to whet the curiosity of the audience. The aim is bringing out unexpected connections among distant areas, moving between written music and improvisation, rediscovering the taste of flanêrie. Breaking the mold becomes the way to find out what you are not looking for, wandering seemingly aimlessly on the edge of different disciplines, where the boundaries tend to cross and fade each other.
