Working in collaboration with UNCTAD, the 38 Empretec Centres all over the world, have trained more than 450,000 people, through what is now clearly the best Entrepreneurship Training Worshop (ETW) in the World. Particular attention is also given to Women Economic empowerment. In Mauritius, we have trained many entrepreneurs since 2000, including some 30% women entrepreneurs, four of whom have won Mauritius Women Entrepreneur of the Year in the past. Now, the reputation of Mauritian Women Entrepreneurs, is going beyond our boundaries, Mrs Maya Sewnath, who took the training with us in 2000, have been nominated amoung the 10 Best for the World Women Business Award. She will be present for the final, together with me, during the World Investment Forum, hosted by UNCTAD in Geneva, Switzerland in October 2014 and which shall be attended by hundreds of Heads of State, Ministers of Finance and other personalities of the business and economic advocacy communities. We can only congratulate Maya for her courage, risk taking abilities and perservenrence in achieving this success. We wish her well in trying to grab one of the top prices in Geneva. We also hope that other Women (and Men entrepreneurs alike...) take the ETW and achieve their full entrepreneurial potential. This is a lifetime opportunity that you should not miss!!
