I was working as a naturalist at Canoe Meadows Sanctuary of Massachusetts Audubon in Pittsfield, about an hour away. We had an old rusted out green box of a Chevy Van, patched with sheet metal. We brought Noah, our new baby, and Flossie, our white saanen milk goat. Took bales of hay, put straw on the floor of the van. Yeah, we were young. Good times.
