ÈSÀṆWO KINNUPE NEWSFLASH: Three Dyas Fida’u Prayers for the Late Emir of Agaie Tomorrow The town of Agaie has been overtaken by a large crowd of mourners and sympathizers since the death yesterday of Alhaji Muhammadu Kudu Abubakar III, the Emir of Agaie. The Emir died at Agaie and his body arrived Agaie in the evening for the burial ceremony. The burial yesterday was attended by a gargantuan crowd and also by prominent and eminent personalities from within and outside Niger State. Almost all the emirs from Niger State – including Etsu Yahaya Abubakar, Emir Umaru Faruk Bahago of Minna, Emir Bago of Lapai, Sarkin Sudan Umaru Namaska of Kontagora, Emir Ibrahim Awwal of Suleja – were all at the burial ceremony. The Emir of Patigi, Tsaragi and Tsonga from Kwara State were also in attendance. General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, Engr. A.A. Kure, Alhaji Ahmed Ibeto the Deputy Chief Servant, and many other dignitaries also attended the burial ceremony yesterday. The gargantuan crowd of mourners, well-wishers and sympathizers continued unabated today as more and more people throng the town of Agaie to pray for the late Emir of Agaie. Tomorrow is also expected to witness even a larger crowd as the three days Fida’u ceremony is expected to take place tomorrow. All the emirs of Niger State and many others from the neighbouring states are expected at the Fida’u prayers tomorrow at Agaie. The Chief Servant himself will also be there tomorrow. All the prominent and eminent personalities are expected to be at the Fida’u prayers tomorrow. The Fida’u Prayers is schedule to start by 10am in the morning at the Emir’s Palace, Agaie.
