السفارة الامريكية تحذر رعاياه من الدخول وسط المتظاهرين في السودان ===الاميركان والكيزان مصالح يامحمد احمد ======= ========================================== United States Embassy Khartoum, Sudan Security Message for U.S. Citizens: Demonstrations September 23, 2013 The U.S. Embassy in Sudan alerts U.S. citizens of demonstrations in greater Khartoum. Please be advised that today, September 24, 2013, there are ongoing protests in many areas of the capital area, Khartoum State, including but not limited to: Omdurman, Wad Al Banna, Al Ardda South, Hai Al- Arab of Omdurman, Souk Libya area of Um-Badah, Sabreen market area of Karari, the area of Taghana, and various locations around Khartoum University in Omdurman. Additionally, there have been reports of violent demonstrations in Wad Medani, the capital of El Gezira State, resulting in the death of one protester and injuries to policemen. As always, U.S. citizens in Sudan are advised to avoid all demonstrations and large gatherings in public spaces. Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations. We strongly urge that U.S. citizens traveling to or residing in Sudan enroll in the Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) at Travel.State.Gov. STEP enrollment gives you the latest security updates, and makes it easier for the U.S. embassy or nearest U.S. consulate to contact you in an emergency. If you don’t have Internet access, enroll directly with the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. Regularly monitor the Department of State’s Consular Affairs website, where you can find the current Travel Warning for Sudan, Travel Alerts, and the Worldwide Caution. Read the Country Specific Information for Sudan.
