بيان الكنيسة مترجم: Statement of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt August 16th, 2013 The Coptic Church is following the development of the sorrowful events in Egypt. The Church asserts its firm support to Egypt’s Police and Armed Forces against the groups of armed violence and dark terrorism, inside and outside, and against attacks on the state’s entities and churches, against terrorizing Coptic and Muslim citizens, which contradicts religions, morals and humanity. As much as we appreciate the stance of the loyal friend countries that understand the nature of the current events, we strongly denounce the fallacies disseminated by the media in the Western countries. We invite them to read the facts objectively, and not to offer international or political cover to these bloody terrorist groups and their members, because they attempt to wreck havoc and destruction in our beloved country. We urge the International and Western media to reflect the actual scene sincerely truthfully and honestly. We extend our condolences to the families of all the victims and martyrs who were killed, and wish speedy recovery to those who were injured and afflicted. We hold on to the solid national unity, categorically reject any attempt to make the country slip into sectarian sedition, and we deem all foreign interference in Egypt’s affairs unacceptable altogether. If the hand of evil is stretched out to burn, kill and destroy, God’s hand is closer to guard, strengthen and reconstruct. We trust that divine assistance will guide our Egyptian people out of these difficult times in our history towards a better tomorrow and a brighter future where justice, peace and democracy that the people of the Nile valley deserve, prevail. ادمن 3
