بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيم শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু। إِذَا السَّمَاء انشَقَّتْ (1 যখন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে, When the heaven is split asunder, وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ (2 ও তার পালনকর্তার আদেশ পালন করবে এবং আকাশ এরই উপযুক্ত And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; وَإِذَا الْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ (3 এবং যখন পৃথিবীকে সম্প্রসারিত করা হবে। And when the earth is stretched forth, وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ (4 এবং পৃথিবী তার গর্ভস্থিত সবকিছু বাইরে নিক্ষেপ করবে ও শুন্যগর্ভ হয়ে যাবে। And has cast out all that was in it and became empty, وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ (5 এবং তার পালনকর্তার আদেশ পালন করবে এবং পৃথিবী এরই উপযুক্ত। And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنسَانُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَاقِيهِ (6 হে মানুষ, তোমাকে তোমরা পালনকর্তা পর্যন্ত পৌছতে কষ্ট স্বীকার করতে হবে, অতঃপর তার সাক্ষাৎ ঘটবে। O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did). فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ (7 যাকে তার আমলনামা ডান হাতে দেয়া হবে Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا (8 তার হিসাব-নিকাশ সহজে হয়ে যাবে He surely will receive an easy reckoning, وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُورًا (9 এবং সে তার পরিবার-পরিজনের কাছে হৃষ্টচিত্তে ফিরে যাবে And will return to his family in joy! وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ وَرَاء ظَهْرِهِ (10 এবং যাকে তার আমলনামা পিঠের পশ্চাদ্দিক থেকে দেয়া, হবে, But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُو ثُبُورًا (11 সে মৃত্যুকে আহবান করবে, He will invoke (his) destruction, وَيَصْلَى سَعِيرًا (12 এবং জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে। And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning. إِنَّهُ كَانَ فِي أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُورًا (13 সে তার পরিবার-পরিজনের মধ্যে আনন্দিত ছিল। Verily, he was among his people in joy! إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ (14 সে মনে করত যে, সে কখনও ফিরে যাবে না। Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! بَلَى إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كَانَ بِهِ بَصِيرًا (15 কেন যাবে না, তার পালনকর্তা তো তাকে দেখতেন। Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ (16 আমি শপথ করি সন্ধ্যাকালীন লাল আভার So I swear by the afterglow of sunset; وَاللَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ (17 এবং রাত্রির, এবং তাতে যার সমাবেশ ঘটে And by the night and whatever it gathers in its darkness; وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ (18 এবং চন্দ্রের, যখন তা পূর্ণরূপ লাভ করে, And by the moon when it is at the full, لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ (19 নিশ্চয় তোমরা এক সিঁড়ি থেকে আরেক সিঁড়িতে আরোহণ করবে। You shall certainly travel from stage to stage (in this life and in the Hereafter). فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ (20 অতএব, তাদের কি হল যে, তারা ঈমান আনে না? What is the matter with them, that they believe not? وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْآنُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ (21 যখন তাদের কাছে কোরআন পাঠ করা হয়, তখন সেজদা করে না। And when the Qur’ân is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُكَذِّبُونَ (22 বরং কাফেররা এর প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করে। Nay, (on the contrary), those who disbelieve, belie (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and whatever he brought, i.e. this Qur’ân and Islâmic Monotheism, etc.). وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ (23 তারা যা সংরক্ষণ করে, আল্লাহ তা জানেন। And Allâh knows best what they gather (of good and bad deeds), فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ (24 অতএব, তাদেরকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির সুসংবাদ দিন। So announce to them a painful torment. إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ (25 কিন্তু যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে অফুরন্ত পুরস্কার। Save those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them is a reward that will never come to an end (i.e. Paradise). 84) Al-Inshiqaq (সূরা আল ইনশিক্বাক্ব)
