حديقة الروتاري قرب المعهد الثقافي في الناصره Rotary Garden near the Cultural Center-Nazareth وردت صوره وسؤال في الفيس بوك عن النصب التذاري المقام قرب المعهد الثقافي في الناصره .... ماذا يمثل هذا النصب التذكاري ؟ هاكم قصة من اقامه وماذا يمثل: في سنة 1997 ابان رئاسة الدكتور باسل فاهوم لنادي روتاري الناصره ورد اقتراح في النادي لآقامة حديقه ونصب تذكاري في مكان ما في الناصره. ادارة النادي قامت بالاتصالات مع بلدية الناصره حيث عرضت المشروع عليها وكان تجاوب البلديه ايجابي جدا بحيث عرضت على الروتاري ان يقام المشروع على الارض المجاوره للمعهد الثقافي. المهندس ايلى نخله عرض على الاعضاء في النادي اقتراحا ببناء ذراعين منفصلين يجمعهما شعار الروتاري وهذه الفكره مأخوذه من مقوله مشهوره لليوناردو دا فنشي "ما القوس الاّ قوّه قوامها ضعيفين" وشعار دولاب الروتاري يربطهما معا كما يوحّد اهل الناصره على مختلف طوائفهم الصداقه والنيّه الحسنه والمحبّه التي تربط الجميع معا بواسطة الانديه والمؤسسات الاجتماعيه والثقافيه والكشفيه في المدينه.. بعد موافقة الاعضاء بالاجماع على هذا المشروع باشر المهندسان ايلي نخله وسهيل سابا بالتعاون على تحضير الرسومات والتخطيط وقوّة الحيد اللازمه , سلّم المشروع لمكتب المهندس توفيق لحام للمباشره في بناء هذا الصرح الذي دشّن ابان رئاسة السيد هشام عبدالرازق, يوم اول كانون الاول سنة 1998 بحضور رئيس بلدية الناصره المهندس رامز جرايسي وعميد روتاري اسرائيل السيد يورم كوهن والعميد المنتخب لسنة 2000 السيد يوسف سروجي والمهندس السيد توفيق لحام (الذي قامت شركته ببناء هذا القوس) وكما حضر معظم اعضاء النادي وبعض الضيوف. في الصور المرفقه نشاهد النصب التذكاري القائم وصورة واضحه للصخره على ارض القوس كتب عليها عبارة ما القوس الاّ قوّه قوامها ضعيفين كتبت بثلاث لغات العربيه والانكليزيه والعبريه. صوره للعميد يورم كوهن يهنيء اعضاء النادي على اقامة هذا النصب التذكاري وكأنه يقدمه من الروتاري الى رئيس بلدية الناصره واهلها جميعا - صوره اخيره للمجموعه التي حضرت تدشين هذه الحديقه والنصب التذكاري المقام عليها. Few days ago a photo of the Rotrary Garden appeared on Face Book requesting information about that photo. Here is the story about that monument and the garden: In 1997 during the presidency of Dr. Basel Fahoum, a decision was taken by the president and members of the club to erect a monument in a Garden somewhere in the city. After discussions with the municipality of Nazareth, it was agreed to use the plot of land near the Cultural Center, prepare it as a garden and Parking Lot and build on it a monument representing a unique idea. Engineer Elie Nakhle joined hands with engineer Suheil Saba and together prepared the plans and the quantities of steel to be used after which contractor Mr. Toufic Lahham executed the work. On the afternoon of the first of December 1998 during the presidency of Hisham Abdulrazek, the Garden and the monument were inaugurated in the presence of the Mayor of Nazareth engineer Ramez Geraysi, the District Governor of Rotary Israel Yoram Cohen and Elected District Governor for the year 2000 Yusef Srouji and Mr. Toufic Lahham whose office erected the monument. In the enclosed photos, one shows the Monument of two arches being united on the top by the Rotary wheel. The inscription on the stone down, was a famous saying by Leonardo Da Vinci "An Arch is nothing else than a strength caused by two weaknesses" Another photo of Past Presidents Basel Fahoum and Elie Nakhle and President Hisham Abdul Razek while Governor Yoram Cohen as if handing over the garden and the monument to the Mayor of Nazareth Engineer Ramez Geraysi. In the last photo we see all the guests and most of the members of the club of Nazareth together with Governor Yoram Cohen.
