مبروك لثانوية الشهيد مصطفى شمران: 17 July 2014 Offer letter for the position of ISA Ambassador for the Connecting Classrooms Programme (2014 – 2015) Over the past years, the British Council has been working very closely with Moustafa Shoumran High School. In fact your school has repeatedly gone beyond and above our expectations whether in presenting high calibre carefully planned work or in networking professionally with other schools. As we are committed to work on a nationwide basis, we do appreciate pioneer schools that will help us to promote academic collaboration and mutual cultural understanding. In recognition for your exemplary role in embedding the International Dimension in your school, we are requesting your participation in forming a group of ambassadors for the ISA. The following terms are applicable to the appointment of the ISA ambassador. Duties and Responsibilities The British Council ISA Ambassador will lend credibility to the British Council Connecting Classrooms Programme by providing direct links to the educational contexts within which our target groups operate. She will be responsible to help to promote and support the British Council Connecting Classrooms Programme by: • Recruiting of 60 schools until 2015. • Providing online and face-to-face support to the ISA schools through email, phone, meetings and school visits. • Providing case studies of successful school projects, either through dissemination, or by presentations at workshops and conferences. • Updating participant schools with latest developments in the British Council Connecting Classrooms Programme and also updating the British Council local team regarding activities in your area. • Facilitating monthly guidance sessions for the schools applying for the Full ISA. • Being a member of the ISA assessment Panel for Lebanon. We anticipate the time commitment for this role is one day per week preferably Friday. The next Regional Ambassadors training will be taking place in Egypt from 08 till 12 September 2014, to support the ISA Ambassador’s role as well as to consolidate regional working under the auspices of the whole Connecting Classrooms programme. The British Council in Lebanon will be covering the full expenses related to the Regional Ambassadors Training in terms of accommodation, ticket and per diems. We highly appreciate your cooperation in agreeing to the nomination of Mrs Hawraa Ghandour who in our opinion will showcase the school best practice and we also hope you will facilitate her participation at the Regional Ambassadors training.
