Translated as: “O Ever living One, Oh Eternal One, by Your Mercy I call on You to set right all my affairs. Do not place me in charge of my soul for even the blinking of an eye.” (NB: The Arabic reads slightly wrong above, it should read Ya Hayyu, not Ya Hayya. So the second YA should have a dhamma on top, not a fatha) Transliteration: Yaa hayyu yaa Qayyoomu birahmatika astagheethu aslih lee shanee kullahu wa laa takilnee ilaa nafsee tarfata aynin. Recite this: - Once every Morning and Evening Wisdom/Benefit: - You hand over your matters completely to Allah, trusting Him and expecting good in all that He decides for you, hence removing depression and suffering from your lives, - This dua possibly contains the Greatest Names of Allah: Ya Hayyu, Ya Qayoom, - This is the advice of the best father to his beloved daughter Fatima(ra) Proof/Hadith: 1. It was a habit not to sleep after Fajr, so when Rasul(sws) went to see his daughter Fatima after Fajr, she had gone back to sleep. So he(sws) awoke her and asked her why she had gone back to sleep. She replied that it was because she had not slept well. And the Rasul(sws) replied as narrated by Anas bin Malik(ra): “What is preventing you from listening to my advice? Keep saying in the morning and the evening: (the dua aside)” [Classified as Saheeh by al-Hakim, at-Thahabi, al-Munthiri & classified as Hassan by al-Albaani ] But remember, tie your camel first, then have tawakkul! Translated as: We have entered a new day and with it all the dominion which belongs to Allah, Lord of all that exists. Oh Allah, I ask You for the goodness of this day, its help, its victory, its light, its blessings and its guidance. I seek refuge in You from the evil that is in it and from the evil that follows it. Transliteration: Asbahnaa wa asbahal-mulku lillaahi Rabbil-aalameen, Allaahumma innee asaluka khayra haadhal-yawmi: Fathahu wa nasrahu wa noorahu, wa barakatahu, wa hudaahu, waaoodhu bika min sharri maafeehi wa sharri maa badahu. Recite this:- Once very Morning and Evening Wisdom/Benefit:- Reciter affirms his faith in Allah as the Lord of all that exists, - Allah will bless you with the Goodness, the Help, the Victory, the Light, the Blessings & the Guidance of the day, - You will have Allah’s Protection from all evil of the day. Proof/Hadith:1. Narrated Abu Malik al-Asha’ri (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (sws) said: “One of you should say in the morning: ‘...(the dua) and he should say the same in the evening.” [Abu Dawood 5084 & it was classified as Hassan by Ibn al-Qayyim in Zaad al-Maad & by al-Albaani is Saheeh al-Jami 352]
