बहुत कम लोग जानते होंगे कि तुर्की में आज भी राजनीति और अन्याय के खिलाफ आवाज उठाने का बीड़ा तुर्क के साहित्यकारों ने उठा रखा है, आज की पीढ़ी के तमाम साहित्यकार देश के लिये आवाज बुलुन्द करते पाये गये हैं, कृत्या के एडवाइजर अतौल कई बार राजनैतिक नीतियों के विरोध के लिये जेल गये हैं। इस बार हमारे उत्सव में तुर्की के दो प्रमुख कवि भाग ले रहे हैं। Metin Cengiz: poet and writer. His poems are translated into several languages such as French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Bosnian, Russian, Romanian, Arabic, Hebrew, Azerbaijani, Serbian, and Kurdish. His selected poems are published in French with the title Apres le Tempete et Autres Poemes (2006, Harmattan). Levant Magazine published his eight poems along with their Turkish under the title "Divan" (2009). In Romania his poems are published in magazines Convorbiri Literare and Poesia (2011). He edited the Anthology titled Çağdaş 17 Türk Şairi is published by Harmattan Publishing (2009 İn Paris) and Anthology of Contemporary Turkish Poetry in Spain. He attended numerous International festivals and symposiums. Received many national and international awards. Published twelve books of poetry and more than 10 books about poetry. MÜESSER YENİAY was born in İzmir, 1984; graduated from Ege University, with a degree in English Language and Literature. She has won several awards in Turkey including the Yunus Emre (2006), Homeros Attila İlhan (2007) and the Ali Riza Ertan (2009) prize.Her first book Dibine Düşüyor Karanlık da was published in 2009 and her second book Evimi Dağlara Kurdum is a collection of translation from world poetry. Her latest book Yeniden Çizdim Göğü was published in 2011. She has translated the poems of Persian poet Behruz Kia under the name of Lalelere Requiem. She has translated Selected Poems of Gerard Augustin together with Eray Canberk, Başak Aydınalp, Metin Cengiz (2011). She has also translated Personal Anthology of Michel Cassir together with Eray Canberk and Metin Cengiz (2011).Her poems have been translated into English, French, Serbian, Arabic, Hebrew, Italian, Greek, Spanish and Romanian. She participated in the poetry festivals in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Israel, Serbia and United States. Müesser is the editor of the literature magazine Şiirden (of Poetry).She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Turkish literature at Bilkent University, Ankara, and is also a member of PEN and the Writers Syndicate of Turkey.
