वैदिक दीक्षान्त उपदेश (Vaidik Passing-out Lesson) यह तैत्तरीय उपनिषद् का हिस्सा है और इस में आचार्य अपने शिष्य को विद्याप्राप्ति के बाद उस के भविष्य में किये जाने वाले व्यवहार के बारे में उपदेश दे रहा है | This is a part of Tatittareeya upanishad and in it the teacher is giving his last instructions to the student on his graduation about his future behaviour. 1- सत्यं वद | धर्मं चर | स्वध्यायान्मा प्रमादः | आचार्याय प्रियं धनमार्ह्त्य प्रजातन्तुं मा व्यवच्छेत्सीः | सत्यान्न प्रमदितव्यं | धर्मान्न प्रमदितव्यं | कुशलान्न प्रमदितव्यं | भूत्यै न प्रमदितव्यं | स्वध्यायप्रवचनाभ्याम् न प्रमदितव्यं | देवपितृकार्याभ्यां न प्रमदितव्यं |......... speak the truth. Live by the righteousness (Dharma). Do not neglect self learning. Pay appropriate fees to the teacher and do not break the lineage of posterity (enter the next phase of life (Family life)). Do not neglect the truth. Do not neglect righteousness. Do not neglect skills. Do not neglect majesty. Do not neglect self-learning and discourses. Do not neglect any work for God or the parents. सच बोलो | धर्म का आचरण करो | स्वाध्याय से आलस न करो | आचार्य के लिए जो प्रिय हो, धन देना संतति के डोरे को मत तोड़ना (गृहस्थ में प्रवेश करना ) | सच बोलने से प्रमाद न करना | धर्म पालन में प्रमाद मत करना | कुशल होने में प्रमाद मत करना | (अपना) वैभव बढाने में प्रमाद मत करना | स्वाध्याय और प्रवचन से प्रमाद मत करना | देवताओं और पितरों के कामों में प्रमाद मत करना |......... 2- मातृदेवो भव | पितृदेवो भव |आचार्यदेवो भव | अतिथिदेवो भव | यान्यनवद्यानि कर्माणि | तानि सेवितव्यानि | नो इतराणि | यान्यस्माकं सुचरितानि | तानि त्वयोपास्यनि | नो इतराणि | May the mother be thy God,may the father be thy God,may the teacher be thy God, may the guest be thy God. Flawless deeds be only done, not others. Our ethical works should be followd, not others. माता (तुम्हारे लिए) देवता हो | माता (तुम्हारे लिए) देवता हो | अतिथि (तुम्हारे लिए) देवता हो | (तुम्हारे) जो कर्म अनिंदित हैं, उन्हीं का सेवन किया जाना चाहिए, अन्य का नहीं | हमारे जो-जो कर्म अच्छे आचरण के द्योतक हों केवल उन्हीं की उपासना की जानी चाहिए; उन्हीं को संपन्न किया जाना चाहिए, अन्य का नहीं | 3- ये के चास्मच्छ्रेयाsसो ब्राह्मणाः | तेषां त्वयाssसनेन प्रश्वसितव्यम् | श्रद्धया देयम् | अश्रद्धयादेयम् | श्रिया देयम् | ह्रिया देयम् | भिया देयम् | संविदा देयम् | जो भी हमसे श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण (विद्वान) हैं, उन्हें तुम आसन देना (आदर करना) | श्रद्धा से (दान/ आदर) देना | अश्रद्धा से (दान/ आदर) मत देना | (अपनी) समृद्धि से (दान) देना | विनय से (दान) देना | संकोच से (दान) देना | सहानुभूति से (दान) देना | whoever may be more distinguished amongst the learned, should be honored by you by offering a seat. Give with faith, Do not give without faith. Give in Plenty, Give with Modesty, Give with trepidation. Give with with compassion. 4- अथ यदि ते कर्मविचिकित्सा वा वृत्तविचिकित्सा वा स्यात् | ये तत्र ब्राह्मणाः संमर्शिनः | युक्ता आयुक्ताः | अलूक्षा धर्मकामाः स्युः | यथा ते तत्र वर्तेरन् | तथा तत्र वर्तेथाः | ऐसा करते हुए भी यदि (अपने) कर्म पर या व्यवहार पर कोई शंका हो, तो जो ब्राह्मण उत्तम विचार वाले हों, जो धर्माचारी और कुशल हों, जो दुष्ट या दूसरों से प्रभावित न हों, वे (उस परिस्थिति में) जैसा बर्ताव करें, वहां तुम वैसा ही करना | Then if there is any doubt regarding any Deeds, or doubt concerning Conduct, As the Brahmins who are competent to judge, adept in Duty, not led by others, not harsh, not led by passion, in the manner they would behave thus should you behave. 5- अथाभ्याख्यातेषु | ये तत्र ब्राह्मणाः सम्मर्शिनः | युक्ता आयुक्ताः | अलूक्षा धर्मकामाः स्युः | यथा ते तेषु वर्तेरन् | तथा तेषु वर्तेथाः | किसी दोष से लांछित व्यक्ति के साथ व्यवहार करने में , जो ब्राह्मण उत्तम विचार वाले हों, जो धर्माचारी और कुशल हों, जो दुष्ट या दूसरों से प्रभावित न हों, वे (उस परिस्थिति में) जैसा बर्ताव करें, वहां तुम वैसा ही करना | If someone who is accused of guilt, As the Brahmins who are competent to judge, adept in Duty, not led by others, not harsh, not led by passion, in the manner they would behave thus should you behave. 6- एष आदेश: । एष उपदेश: । एषा वेदोपनिषद । एतदनुशासनम्। एवमुपास्तव्यम् । एवमुचैतदुपास्यम् | यह आदेश है | यह उपदेश है | यह वेदों का सार है | यह अनुशासन है | इसकी उपासना करना | इस ही की उपासना करना | This is the command . This is the teaching. This is the secret meaning of the Vedas. This is the instruction. Thus should one worship. Thus indeed should one worship this.
