Due to her tight schedules, the actress has missed out this wonderful chance. Kamal Haasan, who is well-known for depicting unique characters in each of his films, is busy with the shooting of his upcoming project ‘Uthama Villain’. In this film, Kamal plays dual roles of a present day ageing superstar and a theatre artist belonging to the 8th century. The script for the film has been written by Kamal whereas Ramesh Aravind is directing. Kamal is also producing the movie along with N.Lingusamy’s Tirupathi Brothers. Elder daughter of Kamal Haasan, Shruti Haasan was the first choice to play the role of Kamal Haasan’s daughter in Uthama Villain but this role has ultimately gone to ‘Poo’ and ‘Maryan’ fame Parvathy. Shruti Haasan herself has revealed the fact that she was offered to do the role but it was due to her tight schedules she had to miss the chance. Also, the audience have missed the chance of seeing the father and daughter duo on the silver screen. Currently, the shooting for Uthama Villain has been done completely in Bangalore and the film will be ready for release in three months. Being a bilingual, the film will be released in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Actor turned director Ramesh Aravind says Uthama Villain is a family entertainer with loads of action sequences. It has also wonderful elements like sentiments, romance and comedy. When asked about the star cast of the film, the director said the film has a few veteran actors from the Tamil film industry and five heroines, including Malayalam actress Urvashi. Moreover, all the five heroines are of a different age group and each has a significant role to play.
