നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ കര്ത്താ വു കരുണയുള്ള ദൈവമാണ്. അവിടുന്നു നിങ്ങളെ കൈവിടുകയോ നശിപ്പിക്കുകയോ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാyരോടു ശപഥം ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള ഉടമ്പടി വിസ്മരിക്കുകയോ ഇല്ല. (നിയമാവര്ത്തളനം4,31) इसका कारण यह है कि प्रभु, तुम्हारा ईष्वर एक करूणामय ईष्वर है। वह न तो तुम को त्यागेगा, न तुम्हारा विनाष करेगा और न वह विधान भूलेगा, जिसे उसने शपथ खा कर तुम्हारे पूर्वजों के लिए निर्धारित किया है।( विधि-विवरण 4,31) Since the LORD, your God, is a merciful God, he will not abandon and destroy you, nor forget the covenant which under oath he made with your fathers. (Deuteronomy 4,31)
