คำผวนในภาษาไทย Spoonerisms in Thai! Definition from thai-language inversely combined word or vowel relocation technique, the Thai pun technique in which a word is reversed and re-combined. The pronunciation will change but it will connote the same hidden meaning. Almost like the Pig Latin technique. This is a slightly more advanced subject in Thai that will be the source of lots of laughter and fun! A lot of the commonly used คำผวน are used to covertly convey rude words and meanings - in a not-so-direct manner - however in my experience, even more conservative upper class Thai people love to use these statements - That being said however they come with a warning, as some can be quite offensive and not appropriate in some relationships/situations :) - so like everything else, if you arent sure if you should use them - safer not too! I will get it started with a few mild(er!) ones สีแดง becomes แสงดี หมายตา becomes หมาตาย ลิงจั๊กๆ becomes รักจริงๆ ค่าบน becomes คนบ้า I have many more that are - rude but I dont think the mods would like them posted here, so please try to keep it clean lol
