✻ღϠ₡ღ✻GENTLE RUNNER✻ღϠ₡ღ✻ IN PAIN!!!!So when 5 year old Runner got to Brooklyn ACC he had an injury on his rear leg that was severe enough for the tag portion of his behavioral eval to be skipped. And during that same eval, the assessor noted “Runner seemed painful and was limping a bit while walking to the assessment room”. And yet, if you see his two medicals, there is no indication anyone took xrays, examined his leg carefully, or even gave him pain killers. What is noted in those exams is that he came in overall decent health (except for his injury) and now, of course, he’s got the shelter “cold”! But despite what is apparently a painful injury, Runner showed himself to be such a good boy—he got all 1’s and 2’s on his Safer exam (including the dog to dog item). ACC has decided that its easier to just euthanize Runner and so they’ve put him on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Tonight, this good boy needs someone to look at those eyes and see the plea for help in them. He needs to get to a vet to check that leg out. And he needs to go back to being the good family dog he wants to be. Do you think you have a spot in your home for this handsome, stoic boy? Can you see yourself getting him to “smile” and flopping over for belly rubs and giving you all those doggie kisses? If you can see it—step up to foster or adopt Runner.
