In the album A New World, he has somehow changed the tough and modern style that was established in the previous two albums. Not only did he start to try some mature and retrospective looks, but he has adopted an extraordinarily gentle touch in his performances, especially in pieces such as Still Waters, Somewhere in Time and Deborah’s Theme, touching the softest part of the listeners with the affectionate melody and performance. Most of the classical music arrangement that are included in this album are originally from the operas composed by well-recognised composers including Henry Purcell, Giacomo Puccini, Pietro Mascagni and Richard Wagner, endowing this album with a warmer and brighter colour. The vocal nature of these compositions allows the arrangements to appear more relatable, showing a soft image of Maksim that was rarely presented before. Sure enough, there are plenty of splendour arrangements in this album, among which New Word Concerto might be a wonderful example. This arranger creatively turned Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No.9 ‘From the New World’ in to a miniature of classical piano concerto, utilised classical pianistic techniques within the arrangement, which filled the piece with artistic qualities. Tonči Huljić’s compositions for Maksim are also worth mentioning. Four of his pieces with various styles are included in this album, one of which is named Nostradamus, a piece that sounds magnificent and historical, but also contrasts the main theme with tenderness between the theme parts. In addition, this might be the first time Maksim has ever tried to act in an MV with plot. Though he never showed the slightest interest in acting, his acting in this MV might be called a good one. To the requirements of his fans, Maksim has kindly included three backing tracks as bonus material in this album, granting the fans with the opportunity of playing his pieces with their own fingers, which must be a dream come true for many fans who play the piano. Also, two pure classical pieces for solo piano composed by Frédéric Chopin are specially included for the Japanese Edition, namely Mazurka No.7 in F Minor, Op.7 No.3 and Nocturne No. 20 in C-sharp Minor, Op.Posth, allowing the classical audiences a chance to enjoy Maksim’s beautiful classical interpretations. 专辑曲目及作曲家 Track list and corresponding composers： 01.
