今天收到美國 ALS TDI - TopicsExpress

今天收到美國 ALS TDI (ALS醫療研究所)的邀請,10/03在美國波士頓舉辦的高峰會與頒獎典禮. Dear Yung I, You are in charge. This fight is yours and you are leading it through your support of ALS TDI. For the last 9 years, we have brought together scientists and executives from academia, pharma, biotech, government and venture to speak directly with you about the effort to discover and develop effective treatments for ALS patients today. This event, the Leadership Summit, will take place October 3 in Boston. I strongly encourage you to be there with us as we report on not just progress but have a frank and open discussion about how we are going to go faster. Joining me to present progress and thoughts to you that day include: Robert Beall (CFF), Steve Finkbeiner (UCSF), Aaron Gitler (Stanford), Mike Gold (UCB), Amelie Gubitz (NINDS), Philip Reilly (Third Rock Ventures), and Willem van Weperen (to-bbb). And to be clear, unlike other ALS organizations, there is never a cost to attend this event nor is it invitation only. If you have a stake in seeing ALS beat, you are welcome. It is also my honor to announce this year’s Leadership Award Recipients. I hope that you will join me in recognizing their individual contributions to advancing potential treatments for ALS during an award presentation at next month’s Leadership Summit: Fran Delany Challenge & Respect Award: Andy Rubenstein, Mary Lou Krauseneck Courage & Love Award: Jenny Dwyer, Steve Milne Adventurous Spirit Award: Roger Petrone Jr. and Rick Cochran, Stephen Heywood Patients Today Award: Kevin Swan. Finally, I want to take a moment to recognize the work done by hundreds of families like yours this year to raise funds to advance drug development at the ALS Therapy Development Institute. You can find more information about some additional fundraising events, including Ales for ALS™ and the White Coat Affair gala below. Sincerely, Steve Perrin, Ph.D. CEO & CSO ALS Therapy Development Institute
