For the last 9 years, we have brought together scientists and executives from academia, pharma, biotech, government and venture to speak directly with you about the effort to discover and develop effective treatments for ALS patients today. This event, the Leadership Summit, will take place October 3 in Boston. I strongly encourage you to be there with us as we report on not just progress but have a frank and open discussion about how we are going to go faster. Joining me to present progress and thoughts to you that day include: Robert Beall (CFF), Steve Finkbeiner (UCSF), Aaron Gitler (Stanford), Mike Gold (UCB), Amelie Gubitz (NINDS), Philip Reilly (Third Rock Ventures), and Willem van Weperen (to-bbb). And to be clear, unlike other ALS organizations, there is never a cost to attend this event nor is it invitation only. If you have a stake in seeing ALS beat, you are welcome. It is also my honor to announce this year’s Leadership Award Recipients.
