With regard to the incident, we are writing to state clearly that, we are rational to the recent political conflicts with Philippines. It is unavoidable that emotions went high in a match like this while we cheered for the Hong Kong Team as being Hong Kong soccer supporters. This, the act of supporting the local team, is far from anything about hostile behavior against Philippine players and supporters. We treated the Filipinos with respect, but sadly, they did not even give us the minimum in return. At the end of the game, we were provoked repeatedly by the Philippine players and supporters. It is believed that The Philippines Football Association conceals these undue behaviors. And obviously, it is unjust to accuse Hong Kong supporters of racial abuse. We write here to urge The Philippines Football Association: 1. To report to the FIFA basing on the facts happened on 4th June; 2. To release the fact that the Philippine players and supporters provoked the Hong Kong supporters in the match; 3. To retrieve the unjust complaints; 4. To account for the incident, but not shirking the whole responsibility to the Hong Kong supporters. As Hong Kong soccer supporters, we feel regretted to see this unhappy incident happening and we are not willing to see any partial media reports and biased judgement.
