✳️One of my favourite single leg compound exercises is the single leg linear press or single leg press. ✳️You will notice that I never lock out at the knee. The reason for this is because I dont want to risk hyper extension, I want to maintain healthy joints and preserve cartilage in the knee joint but in a functional sense I choose not to lock the knee out because it means that there is constant tension on the working muscles as they dont get a rest pause. ✳️Another reason I choose to use this exercise is the benefits that come with unilateral training. Chances are that one of your legs, arms, pectorals or any muscle in your body is slightly stronger, bigger or more developed than the other and this is where unilateral training comes into play as you are working each individual leg independently. ✳️This exercise will hit your quads, hamstrings and glutes.
