09/16/2013 Today was fun. I went with my Sissy to our local DES office so she could get some things straightened out. I had my daughter with me. We were standing in line and I accidentally hit my phone and knocked it out of my daughter’s hand. It hit the guy in front of us. I apologized and he was cool with it. Before he left the DES office, he came to my daughter and handed her a Wal-Mart gift card worth $20.00. My daughter is so happy. She is thinking of getting a new Xbox controller. Our other one broke and she can’t play Minecraft with her brother or her friends. LOL. She couldn’t wait to rub it in her brother’s face. I’m so glad they love each other. I asked them one day why they argue so much and drive me crazy. I was told “Mom, this is how we show our love for one another.” I couldn’t help but laugh as they continued to beat the shit out of each other! I can remember me and my brother Jeremy doing the same thing. He is 13 months younger than me. He is a Marine, with two kids. He isn’t an active duty Marine anymore, but he is still A Marine. He has a wonderful girlfriend that actually puts up with him. He’s got a heart of gold. We haven’t spoken much over the years for reasons you’ll learn about, but he has always been there when I have needed him. I have two younger sisters as well. All of my blood relatives from my dad’s side still live in Alabama. My mom’s side is all the way from Oklahoma to California. We all have different moms except for me and my brother. And of course the same dad. We didn’t grow up in a real close immediate family. I have always been closer to my extended family. Like my Sissy I went with today, she is my bestest friend ever. She’s not blood, but she is to me. I am lucky enough that within the last few months, I have gotten back in contact with a lot of my family. See my dad is the one who raised me, my brother, and my younger sister. When I and Jeremy were very young our mother left. It was the beginning of a wonderful life. Not. But I am not bitter. What happened happened and I am a stronger person for it. In fact the day I found out I had cancer, was the day that my mother’s family confirmed a friend request on Facebook and let me know they were my aunt’s. I went to the local ER after that about the ulceration on my breast and was told I had breast cancer. I called my Aunt Karen that night and let her know that my mom’s family had found me. I had her give my dad my number to call me. I hadn’t spoken to my father in almost 12 years. I hated that it had to be me having cancer to pull everyone together, but hey “Whatever’s Clever”. I’m getting to know my family all over again and it’s been great. My younger sister Crystal found me through Jeremy. I haven’t had a chance to talk on the phone with her, but with the time difference and her working a lot, it is understandable. We chat on Facebook when we can. She grew up with her mother. I know very little about her. My youngest sister Kira grew up with me and Jeremy. We are six years apart and really don’t know anything about each other either. Me and her mother had issues. I sent her message the other day to let her know I love her. She said she needs time, because of things that happened. You’ll learn more later. I let her know I’m not going anywhere. Kira has two kids of her own and is married to a firefighter. She is an RN if I’m not mistaken. She is really smart and giving. I can’t wait to get to know her better. I really can’t wait to get to know all my nephews. I have the only granddaughter. Yea I claim that right!! LOL. I have days I want to trade her. LOL. But, she is her mother’s child! Now I’m just sittin’ here watchin’ kids play Xbox and relaxing. My son just announced it’s time to read and my daughter gets to play Minecraft. Man I love my life!
