1 Corinthians 15:31 "For I swear, dear brothers and sisters, that I face death daily. This is as certain as my pride in what Christ Jesus our Lord has done in you." Dear Reader, When Paul wrote this verse, it very well could be that he was facing the possibility of physical death. The hatred towards the Truth had led many believers to be fed to lions and crucified because of their faith in Jesus alone. While most of us may never see that kind of persecution, there is a death we must face on a daily basis - the death of our sinful nature. We ought to take this new life in Christ serious. What is the point of being a half baked Christian? Why not just forget this whole thing and live your own way? Are we determined to live a changed life? Paul was facing real life struggles but prevailed because he wanted to prevail. You and I can deny our sinful desires and move on in victory. We should allow short moments of sinful pleasure, lust, greed, laziness, procrastinations etc to rob us of our growth in the Lord. With the Holy Ghost in us by us and with us if we are willing we can crucify our flesh. You are blessed.
