10/25/14. BRUCE LI IN NEW GUINEA (1978). Bruce Li was one of the Bruce Lee clones back after Lee died. Im sure some people were confused, but I can actually spell. Li is not Lee. Anyhow, this awful but (mostly) unintentionally funny film is fun for folks who love bad movies, especially rather old-school kung fu movies. Heres what you get: first, Bruce Li, whos no Bruce Lee; a cult of natives who a Snake Pearl (or a Snake . . . I couldnt quite figure it out); second, a black guy whos in the movie, is ridiculous, and then is never seen again; third, an ape -- a guy in a gorilla suit, of course -- who helps Li out in his battle against the evil Snake Pearl Wizard. The dubbing is very bad and makes the film even more ridiculous. As stated earlier, this is a feast for those who love dumbass productions.
