10/9/14 Just when youre ready to be a total B, God comes through with some wonderful distraction. I was in the drive through at KFC for the second time----they goofed my order the first time. I was not a happy camper. I had driven all the way home and been there awhile before unpacking my order and realizing it was missing the most important part--the chicken! So I drove back with my receipt. The guy in the window said I packed that bag myself, you sure you didnt just set it down somewhere? I was about to come back with some really nasty comment when the phone rang. Just enough distraction for me to regroup, ask politely if I could please just have the bucket of chicken I paid for. Bucket delivered, on my way home. Then I returned the call---from my baby brother. Hes less than 2 hours away but on his way home to Tennessee. AND hell be back down here in Florida in a couple of weeks. Great news! I dont think Ive seen him since my ordeal with ARDS. I say I dont think because one of the lovely side effects of ARDS is apparently loss of short term memory. I get events pre and post ARDS mixed up a LOT. Two things I dont get mixed up: God is AWESOME and He gave me great friends and family for support. Flordia, look out, the Walker kids will be together again soon. :-) ROFL
