10 things I have learned in Nursing School: 1. Just because we didnt talk about it in lecture and its only included in a fraction of a paragraph in the textbook, doesnt mean it wont be on the test! 2. Getting more than 5 hours of sleep at night is a luxury I simply cant afford anymore. 3. Failure is not an option, but its a great big fear sometimes! 4. I want to meet the inventor or Select All That Apply questions in a dark alley one day. 5. If it wasnt for the support of my amazing boyfriend I wouldnt be able to do this program at all. (So blessed to have him!) 6. Schedules will change often, and at the last minute And, thats okay... 7. What happens in clinicals, stays in clinicals! 8. When in doubt on a test, patent airway and patent IV site always take priority. 9. The four most important food groups have turned into: sugar, caffeine, chocolate, and comfort carbs. haha! 10. Unless you like to spend 8-9 hours chained to a computer desk, dont wait until the last minute to type up your care plan. Today starts finals week, so please say a prayer for me and all my lovely Nursing girls!
