10 things you may not know about me: 1) I have kept 99% of all my horse show ribbons. I may have miss placed a few over the years, but I cant bring myself to get rid of them! Some of the most memorable ones arent even 1st place ribbons. 2) My dad was a professional motocross racer in the 1970s. Google Chuck Bower, there are photos. 3) Little kids singing makes me cry. Also, the Star-Spangled Banner can be a tear jerker for me. 4) My cat Frank choose me. He sat on my foot at Missy Harpers parents house and I took him home. He cried the whole time in the car, and still does every time he gets in a vehicle. 5) LASIK was the best decision EVER. Now I get to pick out new sunglasses every two years instead of frames. 6) Ive only owned manual transmission cars. My first car, my lovely 1991 Ford Probe given to my by my Auntie, was a stick and so has every car Ive owned since. Now everyone in my family has manuals. 7) I played the clarinet from 5 grade through high school and havent played since. (Dont tell Mr. Nowak, my HS band teacher!) 8) I love national parks and places of historic interest. Especially anything to do with mining or the old west. After college I almost became a park ranger. 9) I wrote my senior thesis on the Donner Party, thats the group of pioneers that became cannibals to survive a winter in the Sierra Nevada mountains. 10) I didnt read any Harry Potter books until right before the last movie came out in the theaters.
