10 to 11 this morning is BUG CLASS on the back of your 9-11 stay and play slot for just £2 extra. Children are very excited to find, collect, watch and talk about the minibeasts they hunt. They really like having their own magnifier pot to collect bugs in. The children join in chanting and moving like different minibeasts, then go off to hunt for minibeasts. We shake trees, look in the grass and underneath leaves and dig the soil to see what lives underneath the ground. We can observe and touch sticky spiders’ webs, tickly worms and slimy snails. Some children sit on our ‘bug rug’ and we enjoy a story at the end. The class is £2 per session on top of the Stay and Play slot 9 to 11. Pay for a 6 week class at a total of £12 and the children will be given their very own magnifiers to take home and keep and asked to find a minibeast to bring along the following week.
