10 years ago today at 1030, I was able to marry the most wonderful woman. At 21 years old, we both were slightly immature and knew absolutely nothing. We have been able to grow up together, however painful it might have been at times, through the years. She has endured long periods of absence while I was in the navy and some since then. We have moved 6 times (counting this upcoming one) covering 4 states and will have purchased 4 houses (counting this upcoming one) since we have been married with 3 of these moves occurring in the last 2.5 years. She has birthed 2 beautiful children (2 years 11 months and 2.5 months) and is the literal glue that holds our household together. She loves God, knows Jesus and teaches our children through her actions, the same biblical principles that caused her to believe. As we celebrate 1/3 of our lives today on our wedding anniversary, I cant really imagine it being any different. Youve always supported me, sometimes to a fault, but you have more than fulfilled the scriptural guidance of what a woman and wife is supposed to be. Although I am not with you today, I pray that you will be well and know that I love you. I dont know what you saw in me those years that seem like a lifetime ago (perhaps some still wonder) but I am glad that you chose me to be your life partner, lover and friend. Ive never been one to care about what others think but at the risk is sounding cliche, cheesy and even corny, I will quote a famous line from the movie, Jerry McGuire: you complete me. Thanks for 10 wonderful years and here is to many, many more. It would almost seem that as the length of time that we have been married grows, so does my love for you. I love you Lisa Boult Carp. Thanks for making this and every day special.
