105.9 SEASIDE-FM News - (HRM police Report) At 3:45 pm this afternoon a 15 year old male student was walking home from school along a path off of Thomas Raddall Drive in Halifax. He was approached by another 15 year old student who is known to him and assaulted. He was kicked and punched and had his cell phone and hat stolen. The victim was treated at the scene by EHS for minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. The 15 year old male suspect was arrested nearby at 5:25 pm. without incident and held in police custody for morning court. Charges: Robbery and Assault. Arrest made in previously reported assault causing bodily harm incident, west division, On Sept 28, 2013 at 2:15 am a 28 year old Bedford male reported being assaulted along a walkway between the Bedford Dooleys and Union street. The attackers were described as white males in their early 20’s. One male mentioned having a knife. The victim did not know his attackers. The victim sustained minor injuries from the assault and was treated by EHS and released at the scene. Patrol officers arrested two 23 year old Bedford males this evening without incident and charged them with assault causing bodily harm and breach of a recognizance. They are being held in police custody and will appear in morning court. At 4:00pm this afternoon a female jogger in her 50’s was followed around the Parkland Drive and Kearney Lake Road area by a male driving what is described as a newer 2009-2010 four door charcoal grey Honda Accord. There was NO window tint and it is believed the vehicle had a Nova Scotia license plate. The male driver attempted to get the joggers attention on three separate occasions by pulling over next to her. He was pointing towards his crotch while masturbating. The driver is described as a white male, medium to heavy build, 45-60 years old with long shoulder length grey hair wearing square frameless eye glasses and a blue t-shirt. He fled in is vehicle south bound on Kearney Lake Road towards Dunbrack Street. The suspect did not say anything to the jogger and she was unharmed during this incident. UPDATE Previously reported robbery At 1044 am this morning, Oct 2nd, members responded to Robert Burns Drive and Primrose Street to a report of a male being assaulted. The victim was left unconscious on the ground. Update: The 32 year old male victim remains in hospital. There is no new information to release as the investigators are receiving little cooperation from the victim. Aggravated Assault, Attempted Murder Incident, East Division, At 9:40 pm east members responded to the 0-100 block of Caledonia Road in Dartmouth to a report of an injured male laying in the hallway of an apartment building. A 59 year old male was located severely injured. The victim reports letting someone into his apartment that he believed was known to him at the time. The victim was then assaulted and eventually lost consciousness. When he had awoken he exited his apartment seeking assistance. The victim was rushed to the QE II Hospital where he remains. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. He has had an initial interview by investigators. A k-9 unit was brought to the scene and identification officers. Members of the General Investigative Section are continuing to investigate this incident to determine a possible motive. This incident is not believed to be a random act. The suspect description is a white male but dark complected, large build, 5’10”-6’ in height, dark hair, wearing a red toque and sky blue jacket, believed to have fled the area on foot. The investigation is still in its early stages. Halifax Regional Police are requesting that anyone with information about this incident to contact police at 490-5016.
