12-HOUR EAGLES’ HIBERNATION CAMP But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isa 40:31 In a stretch of 12 hours, ministers and labourers of the APF dwelt in the throne room of the ‘I AM’ to wait upon the Lord on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Abokobi Presby Women’s Centre. The camp meeting started with thanksgiving, confessions and a call to worship after which several hours of prayers were devoted to the 2014 APF vision, the presence of God in all our meetings and outreaches among others. The several hours of prayers were interlaced by both audio and video messages by seasoned men of God among which included “Rules of Engagement” by Prophet Kakra Baiden, “the transforming power of love” by Pastor Mensah Otabil and a documented divine revelation of Heaven and Hell by Rev. Yong Gyu Park. Matthew 25 served as a source for an exposition on the APF vision and why the vision is a must for all believers. This was led by Minister Joseph Kuvor. The president of the fellowship, Minister Samuel Badoo, sermonised on the need to be fruitful and multiply as a fellowship (Genesis 1:22). He espoused that: 1. To be fruitful means to be able to show PROGRESS in your walk with God. Just as a baby learns to walk and gets better and better at it, so it is with Christians. We learn to walk spiritually with God as we obey what His word tells us. 2. Another measure of fruit is how much of our SELF WILL is relinquished in our allowing God to lead us. We grow in maturity spiritually as we show God we mean business and not just lip service. 3. A further view of this relates to the analogy of the fruit tree. Just as the apple tree, for example, produces apples as its fruit, so do OTHER CHRISTIANS SERVE AS THE FRUITS OF A CHRISTIAN. This of course is only done by abiding in God, as mentioned in John 15. 4. The FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT is also meant to be evident in the life of believers, as mentioned in Galatians 5:22-26. This is about conforming to the image of the son by bearing fruits of the spirit. Rom 8:29. The 12-hour waiting meeting came to an end with a communion.
