13abc/story/26176564/new-details-in-alleged-animal-abuse-case Thanks to all of the local media who covered the most recent hoarding/cruelty case TAHS staff and volunteers are dealing with right now. The two pigs are in foster care, the birds were dehydrated, infested with lice and underweight, but most are showing signs of improvement. The dogs and cats are showing improvement, as well, but still have a ways to go. If you are interested in fostering anyone in this case, or in general, please email [email protected] Well post our wish list again soon, but we have food for the animals right now and are working through the legal system to try and gain ownership, so we can find them better homes. Many of these animals were acquired by answering free to good homes ads on the internet, without much screening being done by the person giving away the bird, pig, horse, dog, cat, etc. Thanks again to all of the local TV stations, the Toledo Blade, and Reuters News Service for your coverage of this sad situation we found last week.
