16TH OCTOBER 2014 —TODAY’S MESSAGE— WHEN YOU, SIN RUN TO GOD, NOT AWAY FROM GOD! One major truth most Christians seem to be ignorant about is the fact that SATAN’S PURPOSE IS NOT JUST TO CAUSE YOU TO SIN; HIS PURPOSE IS TO SEPARATE YOU FROM GOD and he trying to get you to sin is just the beginning of the process he employs to separate men from God. Satan knows that sin destroys our faith and gives us a condemnation consciousness which is void of faith. The Bible says that “But without faith it is impossible to please God…” Hebrews 11:6 The devil’s target is our faith; his target is not just to cause us to sin, but, to destroy our faith with sin consciousness and then through that separate us from God. Satan knows sin is not a factor, because there is a perfect provision made by God through the blood of Jesus which handles our sins. “If we confess/acknowledge our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 If any man sins, he/she has to just acknowledge/affirm his/her sins and then receive forgiveness instantly; and in the sight of God he/she immediately becomes as white as snow; as holy as God Himself. This is why every Christian needs to be fully abreast with the Doctrine of righteousness. The doctrine of righteousness is a fundamental doctrine in Christ Jesus. It is one of the first principles of the oracles of God. Every Christian who does not understand what righteousness means in Christ Jesus is unskillful and immature; for he is a spiritual babe in Christ. If you do not understand righteousness, you might as well not please God. The Bible says “But without faith it is impossible to please him (God)…”(Heb. 11:6). And your understanding of righteousness controls your faith in a greater degree. If you do not understand righteousness, you will feel guilty and condemned in God’s presence. This feeling of guilt, condemnation and inferiority in God’s presence will be a stratagem that the devil will use to weaken your faith in Christ until your faith is completely annihilated. You will no more feel like or want to pray, because you think you are not worthy to fellowship with the Father. You will no longer have the courage and confidence to stand against the devil and his works because you feel that you do not have a right standing with God. You then move out of grace and faith and ceases to please God. Jesus Christ had no sense of condemnation and inferiority. That was why He was full of faith. The Bibles says we live by the righteousness and the faith of Jesus Christ. The trouble most Christians have is not the issue of sin, but, what they do after they sinned. It is only God who loves you and wants to help you come out of sin; the devil doesn’t. so why you sin go to God for help don’t run from Him.
