16th September 2014- Leaving Lindis Pass behind we passed through Omarama towards Mount Cook National Park and Mount Cook itself. Well we could not stop talking about the views on this stretch of our journey. Lake Pukaki that stretches along the road to Mount Cook is an awesome turquoise colour and I hope you can see this in the picture. It is just like looking at the waters in the Maldives. We caught our breath for a moment pondering over Mount Cook appearing in the distance when all of a sudden we hit the snow as we arrived in Mount Cook, Wow! what a terrific site to see in New Zealand, we were so lucky to have arrived at this time of the year.
