17 Oct. A play around Thompsons Track to Lockington Rd. Revisited a project started earlier in the year. (You are not going to believe the forest and tracks just behind the parking area.) Have removed lots of kinks and meanderings and have a pretty direct rout taped to the Locking Rd spur, and have gone up almost to the rely very messy zone. Took 6 hrs track work to get there and 2 hrs (oh bugger the suns going down) to get back. I had Tui song all day. Next visit will be to get around the messy which is a Kihikihi(spelling?) forest. Found one in flower, very pure white. The tree skeleton picks are taken facing the sun so havent come out well. Its a filigree shell, would make a great sculpture but would probably fall apart if moved. Red spray bomb man and pink flagging tape man have both been back. Do not follow pink, he travels in mysterious circles.
