1986 - MC Shan / The Bridge One of the most classic sounds in hip hop history. it was the song that started the famous Bridge Wars. The Bridge Wars was a beef between MC Shan and the Boogie Down Productions when the second took offense about the place that started Hip Hop and they recorded South Bronx. It was the moment that fans took sides and the beef was escalated on the streets. in fact, in this very page few months ago, MC Shan had commented that the battle ended when his own click wanted to play him low and of course the fact that 1520 Sedwick Ave. the birthplace of hip hop is not in South Bronx. KRS One and MC Shan are good friends and they had shared the stage together in numerous times. KRS One had also commented in many of his interviews and also in his own songs that their reaction was not that they believed that they took offense but to gain attention in order to make it in the hip hop scene.
