1st Annual NES Turkey Trot 5K & 1 Mile Saturday, November 23, 2013 @ 9:00 am Race InfoThe Newport Elementary Turkey Trot is a fundraiser for NES’ JUST RUN® program. JUST RUN is a free after school running program that is offered to students at NES in grades 3-5. Registration Info Registration is available online at RunTheEast and through paper registration at Newport Elementary School Course DescriptionThe course will begin at the Town Hall in Newport and will circle around through neighborhoods in Newport to also end at that location. It is a flat course. Race Bag Pick UpRace bags can be picked up the day before the race until 4:00 at Newport Elementary School or the morning of the race at the race site. AwardsAwards will be given to first through third male and female runners in the 5K and 1 Mile and additional awards will be given for different age groups in the 5K.
