2 1/2 weeks ago, Lauren and I doubled our family by bringing in two girls (siblings), who unfortunately have been placed into foster care. It goes without saying that we have learned to maintain a constant state of exhaustion (and not because they are bad) and have had some fun finding our parenting styles on the fly. Although the extension of our family has changed our world drastically, we have endured some of the most amazing things through the hands of God. Never before have I been called Daddy!, or seen SO many people be overly generous, or seen so many hearts and smiles grow to hear our story, and mainly, I doubted my ability of taking on this journey who many place a negative stereotype to. I knew God would open my eyes, but I didnt see it coming. I knew these girls were sweet, but I didnt expect them to be so eager to learn about Jesus. I knew my future was going to change, I just didnt realize I was going to as well. Ladies and gentlemen, if you ever have the chance to change a childs future, DO IT!!!! You are the one they need. I have a heart that finds a new way to break everyday. Maybe you do too... #happytimes #dadscrytoo #kiddriven
