Data analysis For this particular position, the duties will include: In support of the Cover Crop and Nutrient Research Program within the Departments of Agriculture and Geology, the incumbent duties will include, but are not limited to: 1. Manage the collection and analysis of soil, water, and plant samples from the field 2. Operate and maintain laboratory and field equipment, such as ion chromatograph, inductive coupled plasma, Lachat flow injection analysis authoanalyzer, and Leco N analyze 3. Coordinate and perform analysis of samples for quality assurance/quality control and/or proficiency testing 4. Responsible for facilitating sample and data organization and storage 5. Responsible for purchasing and preparing chemical reagents for analytical analysis of soil, water, and plant samples 6. Responsible for keeping detailed records via a laboratory notebook of field and laboratory procedure execution dates 7. Trains graduate and undergraduate students on laboratory and field methodology. 8. Analyze and interpret data 9. Present written and oral presentations of research results Required Qualifications 1. Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at hr.illinoisstate.edu/downloads/GA_Handbook.pdf 2. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation.
