2013 Donghua University Model United Nations Conference Invitation Letter Dear Delegates, Advisors and Observers, Let me extend my most cordial invitation to all of you this coming November, when both delegates at home and abroad will gather in the vibrant Yan’an Road campus of Donghua University, Shanghai, to celebrate an amazing Model United Nations Conference. Established in 2005, Donghua MUN has successfully held 4 conferences with over 300 university students involved. In DHMUN, delegates enjoy exciting discussions and debates of high academic quality, in the process of finding solutions for the most challenging global issues. The chairs and co-chairs of DHMUN 2013 have benefited a lot from MUN conferences at home and abroad, including HKMUN and TEIMUN in The Netherlands. Donghua University has a high regard for MUN. Experienced faculty advisors and foreign teachers contribute to the guiding of MUN activities, triggering the interest in global affairs. They would be present during the conference to offer delegates advice and support. DHMUN 2013 aims to build a highly inclusive community, where different cultures come together, where diverse ideas are voiced, where special friendships are formed. We welcome not only seasoned delegates, but also delegates with no prior experience in MUN. Training sessions on MUN rules and procedures will be provided so all delegates can gain the most from DHMUN. Donghua MUN also welcomes international students to participate in the conference and the interaction will be very exciting for all. The organizing committee of DHMUN 2013 values individuality and originality. Our conference this year comprises 4 English Committees, 2 Chinese committees and Main Press Center. You will be able to find a committee that you are truly interested in. The contribution of every delegate is important to DHMUN and each of you will find opportunities to express yourself. Online discussion groups of DHMUN 2013 will be established to help every delegate fit in, exchange ideas and form blocs. Outside the conference rooms, social events will enable you to know your fellow delegates better and fully enjoy the wonderful moments with new friends.
