That said, if you handle with some measure of care it will last many years and is road worthy. I had to lock-tight the T-handle ends of the boom handle as they tend to come loose. I suggest you locktite the mount ends, everything which can come loose, I did. Out of 20 stands I had one whereas the main lock did not thread on properly and lock. I was able to modify and correct. The stands are light weight so you may need to apply weight to the base for long reaches and with larger mics, such as a drummers vocal. In this case buy a weight lifting weight, and set on main pole. A 25 lb will likely be required to be stable. For a front vocal over a monitor a 10 lb may do the trick. I used the iron weights which you can easily carry with a slot in them to grab like a handle. You can cut a slot so the weight can be quickly slide onto the base.A great solid mic stand, and affordable. This is my second one...light-weight, easy to use, and reliable. Arrived quickly and in great shape.I bought two of these for my band, and they are fantastic. Granted they are not the Hercules stands that I use, but they work for my two other singers.
