2014 Halloween movie #1 I love watching horror movies around Halloween. My favorite is Trick R Treat... I try to watch that one every year about this time. But I also like to see weird Asian horror, commercial releases, and seventies grindhouse. Basically anything that comes out. For this first movie of the year, we watched the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version of The Beast of Yucca Flats, because I love Tor Johnson. Unfortunately, Beast is not a very good movie. Even the MST3K heckling didnt help much. Its a very grim dark movie when not a lot happens. People walk around, the dialogue is badly edited, and its like a Bergman film filmed from a long distance away. However, the movie allowed Thor and I to discover the oeuvre of Coleman Francis, and not I know which movies to avoid in the future.
