2014 Rich Muslims, ordinary Muslims, double standards and Khaiyum: Many ordinary Muslims loathe the actions of Khaiyum. Many Muslim businessmen and women love him because he provides them with business. I have many Muslim friends and I have never spoken ill of them as a group or against their religion. I have directed my criticism at Khaiyum, Nazhat and others on factual grounds where they have acted contrary to Fijis national interest. Khaiyum continues to do so. Many unqualified Muslims have been given key positions in the civil service eg Saneem as SOE. Under Khaiyums advice Ratu Sukunas birthday has been erased from the list of national holidays but Prophet Mohammeds birthday has been retained. No other non indigenous ethnicity has such a recognition ie Hindus, Bahai, and Chinese - all of whom are represented in Fiji do not get such a recognition but an ethnic group numbering4% of the population gets such recognition. so it was little wonder to see a Johnny Come Lately, namely Sareem (perhaps a relative of Saneem) attack people for speaking the truth about special treatment for Muslims. See link below. I say to Sareem, please disclose whether your company received government business for rental hire by the Judicial Department and other government departments? Also disclose whether you have supported FFP directly or indirectly and the nature of such support? Sareem should also tell us where and when and who has raised Islam as a political issue? Is he confusing Mslim with Islam? Muslim is the ethnicity. Islam is the religion but perhaps Sareem is too blind to see the distinction. Lastly, tell us whether you agree with the scrapping of Ratu Sukuna public holiday and retention of Prophet Mohammeds birthday?
