2014...a recovery/change year. It started with carried over health - TopicsExpress

2014...a recovery/change year. It started with carried over health challenges. We took the stage again in March, after over a year of radio silence...and people still gave a shit (THANK YOU). We played State Theatre Saint Petersburg, rocked Haven Lounge, I sang on a Team Cybergeist record (woot!), and we played their awesome CD release show at Crowbar. That show was our farewell show with Matt Russo, our guitarist of 3+ years (I hope you are loving fatherhood and your new job, and give Breanne Russo a hug for me!). On Dec 19, we opened for Twisted Method with our new guitarist, Raymond Walker, who busted his rear to do an amazing job after only a month of practice, and will be continuing on with us as our permanent (crossed fingers) guitarist. On a personal note, I had three different hair colors, and descended into a deep Dragon Age: Inquisition addiction. I went on an anti-inflammatory eating plan, and somehow managed to eat more grilled cheese than I ever have in one year (looking at you, 11:Eleven Café). I have always been, and will always remain, a big fat (skinny?) contradiction, I guess. For 2015, I am looking forward to more music - new songs, more shows, a new record, tour(?), and lots of other in-the-works type stuff that it would be bad luck to mention. Looking forward to finally getting to travel more extensively again. More time with my good friends, and less time dealing with drama and bullshit. More time on the important stuff, less time on the busy-work that distracts from what is important. Oh, and damn it, I will beat Dragon Age. See you guys on the flipside! ~Kate.
