2014 was a pretty big one for Landmark. We celebrated our tenth anniversary in January, and premiered Paul Howard’s third Ross O’Carroll-Kelly play Breaking Dad at the Gaiety in the spring. Together with Galway International Arts Festival, we produced the world premiere of Enda Walsh’s Ballyturk, starring Cillian Murphy, Mikel Murfi and Stephen Rea, and toured it to Dublin and Cork before playing a sell-out season at the National Theatre in London. In November we brought Tom Vaughan-Lawlor in Howie the Rookie to the Olympia in Dublin as well as to the Barbican Centre in London and to BAM Next Wave in New York. Huge thanks to everyone who made this possible … to all the writers, actors, directors, designers, production and stage management teams … to all the funders, supporters, partners (including the Arts Council, Culture Ireland, the Irish Arts Center and MCD). And a very special thank-you to Sara Cregan, Eamonn Fox, Sinead McPhillips, Sinead O’Doherty, Gareth Jones, Padraig Heneghan and Jonathan White. As 2014 draws to a close, we’re in rehearsal for The Walworth Farce, which starts previews at the end of next week. That will start 2015 off with a bang. Happy New Year!
