21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV If there are going to be ppl that don’t make it into heaven when they cast out demons and prophesied in Jesus’ name, how then do ppl think that they can go say a prayer in an alter saying they give God their life just to turn around and keep living the same way they were before the prayer and expect to go to Heaven? I’m sorry ppl, it DOES NOT work that way! I’m very perturbed by all the ppl around me that are thinking this way. If you only honor God with your words and not your life, then your not living for him. No we don’t get into Heaven by good works. You can’t work your way in or be a good enough person to go to Heaven. It’s only by trusting in Jesus, only by acknowledging that He died for your sins, that He is the only person that could have taken the punishment for our sins, acknowledging that we are not worth it, asking for His forgiveness AND THEN REPENT FROM YOUR WICKEDNESS!!! It’s like this, if I tell someone that I love them but then I don’t show them with my actions…they aren’t going to believe my words. ACTIONS ALWAYS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. How then do you expect an ALL KNOWING GOD to believe you when you don’t show Him??? If you kneel down in an alter and say Lord I’m giving you my life, don’t take it back and keep doing what you always have. The bible says we cannot serve two masters. So either you’re a slave to Jesus or you’re a slave to Satan. It’s that simple. God desires us to give Him our lives. There are many references to denying yourself in the bible, and giving up your life so you may have life. This means you must die out to the old sinful person you use to be, and let God change you into a new creation. Out with the old and in with the new. The only way that we can live for God, and that is what He wants, is to allow Him to change us. I’m not saying you will be perfect. There was only one perfect human ever, Jesus. We as followers of Christ will always struggle with our flesh, that old person will try to resurrect inside of us, but God has made us overcomers. So this is a WARNING BELL to anyone out there who thinks once saved, always saved or that honors God with their words but not with their lives or to anyone who simply thinks that God is such a loving God He is going to disregard the Word that He has given us and make an exception for you…Hell is waiting. Good ppl WILL go to Hell. People that said a prayer once upon a time and were saved WILL go to Hell if they aren’t living right and are prayed up when they go. People that have never strayed their entire lives and then make a bad decision one time and they died before they could repent WILL go to Hell. God never promised us that this life would be fair. He promised that we would have a choice. So if someone chooses wrong and goes to Hell don’t be mad at God. It was their choice, just like you have a choice. So I urge every single person who reads this, get in your bible, pray, seek God. You don’t want to go to Hell. If we can learn anything from what has happened this past week, it’s that you never know when you will take your last breath. We are not promised tomorrow. We aren’t even promised 5 minutes from now. So take advantage of every second you have. A lot of ppl don’t preach about Hell anymore, it’s too depressing. But in a world that is full of reality this and reality that, I think Heaven and Hell needs a little more attention because they are both more REAL than any of the crap we see everyday!!! Get mad at me if you want to but I’m gonna “win for God and the right” I’m on God’s side in this and if “God is for us then who can be against us?” One other note before I close…earlier I said you may think God is such a loving God that you think He will make an exception for you. God is a loving God, but He is also sovereign. He is Just. He is so many things that it is hard for us to comprehend. He does love us so much more than we can fathom, that’s why He sent His one and only Son to die a horrendous death so that we may be saved. But He is also a Jealous God. He gave so much for us, why can we not give Him something as small as our lives in exchange for everything He has freely given? If we can’t give up our lifestyles or anything else that is separating us from God, then you are putting yourself before God. You are putting your desires, your hopes and dreams, your addictions, etc. on a higher pedestal than you are putting God. What was that first commandment that He gave us? Oh yeah, you shall have no other Gods before me!!! Think about it people. I’m sending out a WAKE UP CALL. I pray it is heard.
